Madison Veterans for Peace #25 Project – seeks support

National Veterans for Peace began a campaign in April, to support chapters installing large billboards near military bases, reminding troops they have the right and the duty to refuse illegal/unlawful orders, under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. This comes after the scores of extrajudicial murders on boats in the Caribbean and Pacific, and the murders of school children in Iran.

We – Veterans for Peace #25 in Madison – have installed three billboards near the 3 main Wisconsin bases: on Hwy 21 near Ft McCoy, on 90/94 south of Volk Field, and in Madison near Truax Air National Guard base. They are paid to stay up into October. It costs us a total of $5190 for all 3 signs for a 4 week period. We hope to keep the billboards up into November, through the mid-term elections. Our goal is to remind active duty service members of their obligation to follow the Constitution and not to get involved with the President’s unlawful efforts to influence the election.    (For more information and/or to respond to this request please go to  https://madisonvfp.org)
