Special Vigil in Racine
Racine Coalition for Peace and Justice issues a special event on Saturday – See details below (there will be no weekly vigil this day)
The WI- LULAC state board in collaboration with local and state organizations, will answer the call to action: Justice for Lorenzo and Johan by hosting a prayer vigil in Racine Wis.
Many of us are people of faith; we appreciate everything our national LULAC leaders are doing daily to resist these terrible times. We, the ordinary citizens, feel compelled to assist. We have united to share knowledge in hopes to educate, empower, and engage our communities.
Wayman African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church is a historic, faith-based institution located at 424 N Memorial Drive in Racine, Wisconsin. It is recognized as the oldest AME church in the state of Wisconsin.
For well over a century, the church has served as a spiritual beacon and community hub for Racine’s Black community and they graciously opened their doors to join the Latino community. Together with other denominations we will pray for integrity, honesty, full disclosure, restoration, and healing, and most of all that ordinary people continue forward creating an extraordinary movement for democracy.
HERE IS OUR PLAN:
People will join us on Saturday July 25, at 3 pm – 5 pm. Wayman AME Church to gather, and share facts. we will have a prayer walk to 6 th St bridge, (singing we shall overcome in English and Spanish and ven con nosotros a caminar)

Then toss white carnations Рin memory Johan and in memory of Lorenzo orange marigolds, known as cempas̼chil.
You are welcome to join us in person. Yes, bring your signs.
