Widening the Circle~a monthly conversation with WNPJ
This month’s hosted dialogue is based on Fanny Lou Hamer’s enduring wisdom:
“Nobody’s free until everybody’s free.”
As we witness the escalation of harm perpetuated against neighbors locally, nationwide and internationally, we are grappling with our humanity in many ways. Yet we share a reminder that true freedom has yet to be realized; we need one another to Impact change.
We explored the interconnection of immigration, imperialism, oppression AND the cause for collective liberation.
All were welcome to join in this discussion beyond patriotism and independence as we amplify resilience. In this gathering we revisited resistance movements of Black, Indigenous and emigrated people and gave support to lift up the power within and around us, interdependent beings in community together.
These monthly Widening the Circle zooms offer an opportunity to create honest, healing, challenging, and community-centered spaces that encourage accountability and collective action that is deeply needed now. We welcome your input, suggestions and co-creation. Each conversation will be recorded and shared.
