Empty pushchairs, heavy hearts.
Empty arms, heavy hearts.
Every silent pushchair speaks volumes.
It speaks of mothers that should be holding their children, of hearts that should be full of joy, and of schools that should be full of laughter and learning.
Children of Palestine, Children of Gaza... we honor you.
Join Madison World Beyond War for a walk through the Mall – inspired by this video from Cardiff, Wales.

Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility- Shut It Down!
Monday, 23 December
11:00 am - 12:00 pm
1015 N 10th St, Milwaukee, WI 53233, USA
Campaign Against Torture to End Solitary Confinement
Directly impacted leaders and religious leaders will call for an end to the torture of solitary confinement. There is an urgent need to completely depopulate Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility and close the state's two oldest prisons in Waupun and Green Bay.
We will stand in solidarity with the National Religious Campaign Against Torture's Together to End Solitary Campaign that raises attention on the 23rd of each month.
You can visit this website for details about the campaign. Urge President Joe Biden to honor the sanctity of life by commuting the sentences of the 40 individuals currently on federal death row.

Sign WAVE’s petition – to WI legislators to end gun violence
Our hearts are heavy this week as we grieve alongside the students, staff, families, and the entire community impacted by the tragedy at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison. The pain and trauma they are enduring is unimaginable, and it will leave scars that last a lifetime.
Now is the time for action—and it starts with all of us. In less than three weeks, the new legislative session will begin. Demand that our legislators prioritize gun violence prevention. Wisconsin’s politicians must pass evidence-based laws that we know save lives. We cannot let them off the hook.
Signing this petition today, though, is just a start. We must maintain the urgency we feel at this moment. That’s why we need you to commit to taking every action we send your way in the coming months. Consistent, collective action from across Wisconsin is what will secure this change.
In moments like this, the people of Wisconsin show up — with compassion, with resolve, and with the will to make a difference. Together, we can honor those who have been taken and build a future where tragedies like this are prevented.
Today I am feeling anger, disbelief, and sorrow. But when we transform these feelings into action – when we stand united and refuse to accept inaction as the norm – we have the power to create the change we so desperately need.
With fiery, unyielding determination,
Jeri Bonavia admin@waveedfund.org
