Several WNPJ member groups are urging voters to VOTE NO on the August 13th Referendums
These upcoming referendums threaten checks and balances in the Wisconsin State Constitution! They give sole power to the legislature for spending federal funds, block timely funding for emergency response, and create more gridlock in the legislature.
WNPJ member groups Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, WAVE Educational Fund, and Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice strongly encourage Wisconsinites to VOTE NO on all the constitutional amendments that will appear on the ballot in August and November later this year.
❌ Question 1: “Delegation of appropriation power. Shall section 35 (1) of article IV of the constitution be created to provide that the legislature may not delegate its sole power to determine how moneys shall be appropriated?”
❌ Question 2: “Allocation of federal moneys. Shall section 35 (2) of article IV of the constitution be created to prohibit the governor from allocating any federal moneys the governor accepts on behalf of the state without the approval of the legislature by joint resolution or as provided by legislative rule?

350 Wisconsin Annual Picnic
We are excited to announce that our upcoming monthly meeting will not only be our Annual Picnic at Brittingham Park, but will also host a 350 Wisconsin and 350 Wisconsin Action Volunteer Fair! This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about various volunteer opportunities, especially as we gear up for the upcoming election.
Our established 350 Wisconsin teams will also be present, showcasing how you can get involved in ongoing initiatives. Each station will have some creative element. If you have been following us but weren’t sure how to get involved, this would be a great time to come and learn! If you have been involved with us, please feel free to bring friends and enjoy the festivities.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Volunteer opportunities: Meet representatives from different teams and discover how you can contribute to our efforts. Check out things going on within our 350 Wisconsin teams and see how you can get involved in 350 Wisconsin Action’s electoral work!
Picnic: Enjoy a delightful picnic with fellow volunteers. Bring your own dish to pass if you can (but come anyway if you can’t!) and get ready for an evening of great food and company. Please bring your own plates, napkins, and silverware if you can to reduce waste!
