Widening the Circle - Climate Justice & a Just Transition with John Peck

We know that there are frontline and underrepresented communities more affected by climate change than other communities. Often the solutions suggested to mitigate climate change exacerbates the situation for those communities.
Climate justice focuses on local impacts and experience, inequitable vulnerabilities, the importance of community voice, and demands for community sovereignty and functioning.

In this Widening the Circle discussion, we will explore what a just transition towards climate justice would entail with John Peck.
John grew up on a farm in central, MN; received a PhD in Land Resources - Environmental Studies at UW-Madison, currently teaches economics at Madison College, and is also the executive director of Family Farm Defenders.
