SUMMARY:Screening of the film “The Motorcycle Diaries” – Milwaukee
DESCRIPTION:\nUW-Milwaukee Cinema is showing The Motorcycle Diaries on Sept.16 at 6pm \n\n\n\nThe Motorcycle Diaries ( https://uwm.edu/studentaffairs/event/the-motorcycle-diaries-latine-heritage-month/ ) is scheduled at the UWM Union Cinema on the second floor of the UW-Milwaukee Student Union at 2200 East Kenwood Blvd. [1 ( https://uwm.edu/studentaffairs/event/the-motorcycle-diaries-latine-heritage-month/ )]\n\n\n\nFree For Everyone!\n\n\n\nIn 1952, two Argentinean students took off on a sputtering Norton 500 motorcycle to discover their magnificent continent. Traveling northward through Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, and finally ending in Venezuela, the two discover not only the complex cultures and diverse people of South America, but their own destinies. Before Ernesto became the revolutionary Che Guevara, his early travels provided the sentimental education that transformed him by showing him the reality of South America. The film unabashedly revives the venerable, romantic notion that travel can enlarge the soul, and even change the world.\n\n\n\nEvent Details\n\n\n\n\nFilm: The Motorcycle Diaries (part of Latine Heritage Month events)\n\n\n\nDate: September 16\n\n\n\nTime: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM\n\n\n\nLocation: Union Cinema, 2200 East Kenwood Blvd, Milwaukee\n\n\n\nSent to WNPJ by Babette Grunow, WNPJ Board member\n\n\n\n\n\n
