At Veterans Plaza, Capitol end of State St. Bring a copy of a favorite picture(s) or a short story or commentary that we can gather together into a “family album” for some future archiver.  This would really help us tell the story of Occupy Madison.  And add your name and contact info on the items, to help if anyone wants to follow up with you.

6/15 Sat 9 am - 4 pm Terri Schmit will lead “Gourd Art: Coiling with Agates” - Sinsinawa.  At Sinsinawa Mound. In this daylong class, participants will learn several art techniques. Given a cleaned and cut gourd, the first half of the class will be spent learning how to use and apply alcohol inks to create unique designs or burl effects. The latter part of the class will be spent learning how to apply pygmy palm to a prepared agate and to the gourd.

Workers Memorial Day Observance

Join Wisconsin AFL-CIO President David Newby for an observance of Workers Memorial Day at Noon on Wednesday, April 28, in the Assembly Parlor at the State Capitol. The event will honor the 29 West Virginia coal miners and workers killed on the job in Wisconsin last year.
