Community members, leaders attend Fast for Families forum to talk about immigration issues. Voces de la Frontera is hosting a Wisconsin tour of Fast for Families, a group promoting awareness of immigration issues, connections between immigrants and non-immigrants, and immigration reform.

“I believe that people need to know we care,” said Donna Veatch at a rally in Janesville on Monday. "The idea is to help people and show how they can be part of the common good.” GazetteXtra, 3/19/14. Voces de la Frontera is a WNPJ member group.

Sunshine laws need enforcing: Mike McCabe, executive director of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign is alarmed that employees of Governor Walker who used private emails and laptop computers to circumvent Wisconsin's open government laws were not charged with violating those laws. "Our open records law is invaluable to democracy, and it is on very thin ice.
