Program and Social Media Manager - Madison

The Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired, a private, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, has an opening for a Program and Social Media Manager. This is a newly created position.

The Program and Social Media Manager works with the Fund Development department to coordinate and implement the requirements of successful grants. Provides professional expertise and direction in all aspects of social media to the staff, the board and the general public. Creates, manages, and delivers social media and day-to-day activities. Works closely with the Community Relations team to ensure that media messages are consistent with the branding campaign. Duties include online advocacy, editorial writing, community outreach efforts, promotions, etc. for a greater web presence. Analyzes pertinent data and monitors effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and extensive social media knowledge with a certificate in social media preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, national service and experience. Three years experience in program implementation and coordination of logistics for events. Strong project management and organizational skills. Demonstrated exceptional communication skills, including written and oral communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, e-mail, social media and internet applications and research. Team player with the ability to build and maintain professional working relationships. Ability to travel around the state as needed.
