The Madison Audubon Society invites applications for a Conservation Educator.  This is a one-year appointment, and the position is contingent upon funding authorization.  The position includes program coordination, youth education, outreach, and public information.  Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in the environmental sciences or related fields.  A knowledge of natural habitats and/or ornithology is preferable, and the ability to work with different groups in an enthusiastic manner is essential.  This is a full-time position with benefits.

Madison Audubon was founded in 1936 and serves 3,100 members in eight southern Wisconsin counties.  Based out of Madison, the organization has two premiere sanctuaries, Faville Grove and Goose Pond, totaling more than 1,500 acres.  Madison Audubon’s board of directors recently completed a new strategic plan with a strong emphasis on environmental education and habitat protection.
