WWN Administrator



Organization: The Wisconsin Women's Network (WWN) is a 34 year-old statewide coalition of member organizations and individuals working to improve the status of women in Wisconsin through communication, education and advocacy. WWN works on issues promoting equity and justice for women and their families. 
The Administrator, under the general guidance of the WWN Board of Directors, is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the organization, maintaining the WWN office and administering special programs and events. Also serves as project assistant to the Wisconsin Women’s Policy Institute. The position ranges from 30 to 40 hours per week, with occasional evenings and weekends. The WWN Board of Directors has primary responsibility for approving the direction, priorities, policies, and projects of the organization.   • Draft and release communications on behalf of the Board of Directors, including but not limited to, press releases, biweekly newsletters and other writing projects as needed. 
  • Plan and implement development program, including drafting annual campaign appeals, grant-writing and reporting, and maintaining grant calendar. 
  • Coordinate the WWN website and social media accounts, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, WordPress blog and others. 
  • With the guidance of the Special Events Committee, plan and execute fundraising events, monthly membership events and special projects. 
  • Recruit, train, and supervise interns and volunteers. 
  • Provide staff support and coordination for board meetings, membership meetings and other meetings as required. 
  • Serve as point-of-contact for WWN individual and organizational members and develop ideas for new partnerships and future collaboration. 
  • Prepare membership renewal notices, recognize donations, and maintain membership and donor records.
  • Prepare bank deposits, employment taxes, and other financial recordkeeping as required. • Administer office operations and maintain organizational files, including management of computer databases. 
  • Other duties as required. 
  • Experience in database management with Microsoft Access, and in maintaining and updating websites
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent detail-oriented and accurate administrative skills
  • Computer literacy, including working experience with MS Word, Excel, and social media
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects Willingness to enthusiastically represent the Wisconsin Women’s Network and its agenda 
  • Ability to adapt schedule to attend meetings and staff special events as required 
  • Ability to develop creative administrative solutions to build organizational capacity
  • Experience managing interns and volunteers 
  • Experience with non-profit organizations
  • Event-planning, fundraising and/or development experience 
  • Familiarity with HTML and CMS software
