Variety Show to Benefit Christopher French's Bail Fund! - Madison

Wed. July 4th 10:00 pm - 2:00 am  Rainbow Bookstore (426 W. Gilman)  Variety Show to Benefit Christopher French's Bail Fund!  NATO held their summit in Chicago in late May, 2012, and activists from all over the country converged in Chicago to protest the war makers.  Christopher French was among many who experienced state oppression, and has now been framed on charges of “aggravated battery on a police officer.”

In solidarity with this effort, the Madison Infoshop and Rainbow Bookstore are hosting a variety show to help bail Chris out of jail to demand that all political prisoners be freed, and to call for an end to police brutality in Chicago and beyond.

The variety show line up includes:  Cassidy Ann, original spirit folk; Thistle and Thorns, original folk punk; Allie Hendrick, original old-time music; Ali Muldrow, spoken word poetry; Bill Anderson, wobbly folk singer; Miranda Moon, fusion belly dancing; and Johnny Sin - followed by an Open Mic

You can also try your skill at the "throw a pie at a riot cop" booth, while raising money for Chris's bail fund.  Bring clothes, books and trash-to-treasure items for the really really free market!  Join us for an anti-imperial toast to declare our independence from the Amerikkkan Empire.  Suggested donation $5-10.
