Capital Times: Retired state workers concerned about pensions

"Why mess with a system that is working well and regarded as the best in the country?" asks Buzz Davis (left), a WNPJ member (Bring Our Troops Home) and head of Protect Our Wisconsin Retirement System (POWRS) in a recent Capital Times article. Walker spokesman Cullen Werlie claims that there are no plans  to make changes, but that he thought "it was prudent to take a look at it, see where we are at, and compare it to other states."

"My fear is that Walker will lie again about a big budget deficit, and then try to ram through more changes and one of those changes will be a set of changes to the WRS like what the Democratic governor of New York did,"  says Davis. Read the entire article here.
