USA Today: Kewaunee High drops race-based mascot, chooses new name

Students at Kewaunee High School have selected a new nickname, The Kewaunee Storm, after a complaint was filed with the state Department of Public Instruction about the school's use of "Indians" as a nickname. The complaint was filed under Act 25, a new law requiring DPI review of race-based school mascots if a complaint is received from a school district resident.
