DC => NYC Peace Walk for Nuclear Disarmament and Abolition!

We're very excited to announce the April 2010 DC => NYC Peace Walk for Nuclear Disarmament and Abolition!

From April 8 to 29, our peace walk will journey from Washington, DC to New York City for world peace and a nuclear-free future -- visiting Baltimore, Philadelphia, Princeton, and many points in between with our message for peace. Throughout the walk, we seek to collaborate with local peace and environmental activists in each community in order to raise nuclear awareness and build a stronger grassroots movement for peace, social justice and environmental sustainability. In NYC, we will then join the massive international peace convergence for nuclear abolition, April 30th to May 2nd, at the United Nations Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review.

We hope you will be involved to support this grassroots peace effort. Please consider walking with us, hosting us at a local event or "Peace Mile" along the route, sponsoring a peace walker, joining us in NYC, or otherwise contributing to our mission. Whether you can join us for many miles or a few steps, we especially desire to see you walking with us!

We also invite you and folks from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region to join us this Earth Day in Philadelphia, PA. On this day -- Thursday April 22nd -- in downtown Philly at 12 noon, we will gather for a special "Earth Day Rally for World Peace and Nuclear Abolition" and then walk together as a large group across the bridge into Camden, NJ.
