Direct action to nonviolently resist the construction at Truax in preparation for the F-35 war planes - Madison Jan 13

Event Dates:
01/13/22

At 1:00 this Thursday, 1/13/2022, a group will begin direct action to nonviolently resist the construction at Truax in preparation for the F-35 war planes.  Our group, including Madison alder Brian Benford, Dane County supervisor Heidi Wegleitner, and Catholic priest Father Jim Murphy, will decorate the Dane County Airport sign at the corner of Packers Ave and International Lane.  We call on County Executive Joe Parisi and Dane County Airport Director Kimberly Jones, as well as city and state officials, to stop construction at Truax Field and clean up decades of PFAS contamination of our soil and water.

Are you concerned about the F-35s?  We encourage you to join us.  Come out in support on Thursday afternoon, 1:00 until dusk.  Then we hope you will create an affinity group of your own, with two or more people.  Plan and carry out nonviolent resistance actions, according to your own capacity and creativity, whenever you can and for as long as needed until the F-35 construction halts at Truax and these deadly war planes are canceled and recycled.
