Labor in the Pulpits in-person service - Madison Sept 5

Event Dates:
09/05/21

This year, our allies of faith are participating in Labor in the Pulpits/On the Bimah/In the Minbar. This is a September-long program when congregations set aside time to lift up the dignity of work, support especially low-wage and immigrant workers, and speak to the experiences of essential workers in Wisconsin and around the county.

As a reminder: You can locate extensive news and faith resources for this program on Worker Justice Wisconsin's website. Additionally, you can use their videos to share on social media. All videos are also available on their YouTube Channel.

Prairie Unitarian Universalist Society, 2010 Whenona Dr., Madison, will have a Labor in the Pulpits in-person service at 10 am this Sunday (9/5), and they will be masked and following CDC guidelines (see https://uuprairie.org). Other congregations participating this weekend include Middleton Community Church, First Unitarian Society of Madison, Orchard Ridge UCC, and Brown Deer United Methodist. More congregations will be participating during other weekends this month.

Have a safe and happy Labor Day!
