“Back from the Brink” December Action in Madison

Since October of 2018, a coalition of groups has been working to get the Madison City Council to pass a Resolution in support of nuclear disarmament that also commits the city to nuclear weapon free contracts and investments.

Nine Alders have said YES and another 4 have said “YES, probably”.  We still need the support of the following alders:

Barbara Harrington-Mckinney, District 1
Mike Verveer, District 4
Sally Rohrer, District 8
Paul Skidmore, District 9
Zachary Henak, District 10
Mike Tierney, District 16
Christian Albouras, District 20

PLEASE CONTACT YOUR ALDER AND ASK THEM TO SUPPORT THIS RESOLUTION!

If Madison passes the Resolution, it will be the first city in the Midwest to do so and one of only a handful of cities in the US that have committed to nuclear weapons-free contracts and investments.
