Wisconsin sister march to the National March On NRA

Wisconsin sister march to the National March On NRA to take place on August 4th

MADISON, WISCONSIN, JUNE 23rd— On August 4th, Wisconsin high school students will put on a sister protest to the National March On NRA in Fairfax, Virginia. Protest attendees will hear from student activists from across Wisconsin and politicians fighting for the cause.

National March On NRA-Wisconsin is demanding universal comprehensive background checks, a ban on assault weapons, a ban on high-capacity magazines, and Congress’ rejection of the “Dickey Amendment” to name a few.

With Wisconsin’s recent visit from the March For Our Lives founders, building off of the momentum of their visit is a priority for this event. Wisconsin politicians will see first hand our perseverance and our unrelenting desire for common sense gun control. The goal of this event is to push state and federal politicians to initiate gun control legislation to protect Wisconsin’s students.

This event will advocate for the reformation of a gun culture that is dangerous and perverse in society. We hope to show politicians at all levels of government that inaction is unacceptable and their policies have failed students. More information will be released in the coming weeks.
