An Art Show and Conversation with Our Students:

Ending Gun Violence

Thursday, May 10th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Cafe Zoma

For weeks we have watched our kids react to what is happening as, nationwide,  gun violence continues in their schools and communities.   They have shown us how frightened they are and that they are willing to fight for their safety. They are keeping the spotlight on how these acts of violence affects their lives. The East Side Progressives recognize the students' need to express anxiety and fear, and hope in a safe educational format.  We support their efforts.

Students from East High and O'Keefe Middle School have chosen art as both a release and expression of their perception of "gun violence" in their lives.  This could be at school, at home or anywhere. Their art will be displayed on walls at the Cafe Zoma.

We hope you can join us on May 10th at Cafe Zoma! There will be light refreshments and a 6:00 program with speakers from Mom Demand Action, a student from each school, and a representative from East Side Progressives.
