The Vigil for Peace is inviting folks to join us in celebration of 37 years ~ 1981-2018 ~ of vigiling for peace, justice and sustainability. We'll gather at noon on Monday, December 3, at the corner of MLK Jr. Blvd. & Doty St. adjacent to the Madison City-County Bldg. We call upon friends, neighbors and passersby to share in our drive to fill baskets of Socks-for-Peace and Toiletries-for-Justice. Men's socks are for the Off The Square Club & Porchlight, St. John's Lutheran Church, 322 E. Washington, and Women's Socks will go to Women's Backyard Mosaic Project, also at St. John's. Toiletries (travel size) will go to The Beacon, a homeless day resource center, 615. East Washington Ave. We invite all to join us for a delicious celebratory birthday cake, steaming hot tea and chocolate and, of course, vigiling, too. Please join us!

Vigil for Peace (1981-2018) We meet weekly on Mondays (except federal holidays falling on Mondays when we do not meet) from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Doty St. located adjacent to the Madison City-County Building. A different flier is distributed each Monday to passersby addressing concerns for peace, justice and sustainability. We support, participate in, and promote multiple means of nonviolent action for social change. Please join us any Monday. Contact: Mary Beth at (608) 846-7924, mbspeace1@charter.net
