Submitted by Staff on Fri, 02/05/2021 - 1:58pmIt’s not unusual for a newly minted White House to present what’s known as a “skinny budget,” a wish list of spending requests for Congress and some basic economic projections. We're hearing that’s what to expect from President Biden’s first budget proposal in the coming weeks.
What’s important to remember though, is that it is Congress that sets government spending levels, and this year may be a crucial one in getting necessary cuts to the bloated Pentagon budget.

Submitted by admin on Fri, 04/02/2021 - 4:55pmOver 44 million Americans carry more than $1.7 trillion of student debt – preventing people from buying homes, starting businesses, saving for retirement, or even starting families. And no one is as burdened by student loan debt as Black people, Black women in particular. This is a direct result of systemic racism.
