Program Manager, Sustainable Schools Initiative wanted 03/18/11

The Program Manager will work closely with the Program Director and is responsible for promoting, publicizing and engaging stakeholders in an energy use and conservation program at Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD).

Job duties include:

Support implementation of energy action plans at individual MMSD schools;

Develop and launch a MPower Schools Program based on our existing MPower Business Program where schools receive support to reduce carbon emissions through more comprehensive strategies;

Coordinate overall project;

The Program Manager will work closely with the Program Director and is responsible for leading area businesses through the Mpower ChaMpions Program, which focuses on helping businesses reach specific goals for reduction of carbon emissions. Participation in the Mpower ChaMpions Program is competitive based on an application process.

The duties to be performed include:

Support implementation of energy action plans at individual business;

Support measurement of business carbon footprint data;
Implement educational and networking meetings and events ;

An Assistant Director of Communications is needed to help promote new programs and also will create media tools to promote successful models of sustainability at Sustain Dane, a 12-year old Madison, Wisconsin-based nonprofit. Sustain Dane exists to promote leading models of sustainability, and to support businesses, schools and individuals who want to take measures to go or become more sustainable. The organization is both growing and redirecting its efforts.

WCADV is hiring an Administrative Assistant:  This 20 hour per week (12:30 pm – 4:30 pm) position is primarily responsible for the performance of receptionist duties for the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Additional duties include performing database, spreadsheet and data entry, clerical support and assistance with general office functions. This position reports to the Operations Manager and requires computer skills, including proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Word.
